Nine Projects Earn 2020 Kukulu Hale Awards
NAIOP Hawaii congratulates the winners of this year’s 23rd annual Kukulu Hale Awards, which recognize accomplishments in Hawaii’s commercial real estate industry, including Awards of Excellence for new and renovated commercial, nonprofit and public projects statewide.
“Our Kukulu Hale Awards have always been presented at a celebratory event in the spring, but due to the ongoing pandemic, we could not gather this year to honor the awardees,” said Cathy Camp, NAIOP Hawaii Chapter president. “We are pleased to announce the 2020 winners at this time, and look forward to recognizing them again as part of our 2021 awards event.”

NAIOP Hawaii Message to Members and Sponsors
Aloha!
The COVID‐19 situation has quickly upended our lives, as companies shift to operating remotely full‐time and we adjust how we work and socialize. Of course, our industry and your business remain top of mind as uncertainty in the market abounds.
Rest assured that NAIOP is focused on providing you knowledge that you and your company need right now. We are evaluating the possibility of webinars, conference call, e‐mail or other socially acceptable means of delivering information specifically related to the issues critical to CRE during the COVID‐19 situation. We will keep you posted as we make progress in this area.
We continue to advocate for our members at the City and State levels providing testimony and feedback on topics of concern. The legislative session is in recess until further notice. It is expected that the recess will last between 4–8 weeks, but given the Stay At Home/Work From Home Order given by some of the counties, it is probable that the session could remain in recess at least until April 30th. We will keep you posted through our website as more information becomes available.
Your safety is important to us! As much as we understand the value of face to face engagement and networking that our organization provides to its members, we realize that this is a challenge at the moment. We will be postponing our breakfast forums and Kukulu Hale Design Awards event in May. We will provide updates of our rescheduled events so keep an eye out.
Finally, we want to hear from you! Please share your thoughts on what would be most useful to you during this time. You can submit your feedback on our website and, if you are an expert in your field and would share your outlook, please let us know. If you have suggestions/information to share you can let us know by completing our Call for Expertise survey.
NAIOP Hawaii is more than a trade association: We're a community all facing the same crisis today, but all dedicated to creating a bright future for our industry. We're here to support you during these extraordinary times, and I look forward to working together.
We appreciate your support as a vital member of our real estate community!
Sincerely,
Catherine Camp
2020 NAIOP Hawaii President
